About the IEEE Milestones Program

The IEEE Milestones Program recognizes significant technical achievements that have benefited humanity in all areas associated with IEEE globally. The designated Milestone fields include 1) Engineering, 2) Computer Sciences and Information Technology, 3) Physical Sciences, 4) Biological and Medical Sciences, 5) Mathematics, 6) Technical Communications, 7) Education Management and 8) Law and Policy. Achievements are recognized with a dedicated plaque in the location where the innovation took place. 

IEEE Milestones are an IEEE History Committee program, administered through the IEEE History Center and Content Transformation teams within CEE.
